I was a bilingual student, I came to the USA when I was 7 years old knowing “Pollito-Chicken, Gallina-Hen, Lápiz-Pencil, and Pluma-Pen”. I am passionate about helping students and their families feel like they belong in the USA, to be proud of their roots, and to know that the USA embraces them on every level. I am the oldest of 3, being blessed and privileged to come from an amazing, hard-working, and loving family/parents and an extensive and supportive Mexican extended family. Community and Family Engagement are extremely important in Education and I make sure I teach fractions and bring our Community together! I went to Universidad Iberoamericana, a Jesuit, Community-driven University in Mexico that strives for social justice and I had the opportunity to do a Master’s in Information Technologies and a Master’s in Education in the following Colleges: UNLV (Nevada), UTEP (Texas) and MSU (Colorado). My interests and hobbies are Spending quality time with friends and family, yoga, climbing, African dance, picnics in the park, standup paddle, standup comedy, psychology, and soccer. Also, I used to have imaginary friends when I was 3-5 years old, their names were Lobelibiz y Baliztudu, right? I am passionate about Psychology, Health Psychology, and Social Psychology. A passion of mine is connecting people to themselves and others, and connecting resources so everyone can thrive in this world.
