I am from Venezuela and came to the US in 2001. I studied at Metropolitan State University and got a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and French. I pursued my Master’s in Literature and Second Language Acquisition at the Colorado University of Denver. Later, I got my teaching license at Metropolitan State University. I have been a teacher for 11 years (8 years in DPS ). I met my husband at the University while taking an American History class. My husband is Armenian and we have a 3-year-old boy (the love of my life). I love to be outdoors, hiking, biking, or canoeing. My favorite trips are going to the beach anywhere that is hot and humid. I also love cooking and doing crafts.

A quote that I try to live by:

Live and let others live.
