Hello, my name is Kennya Sanchez and I graduated as Valedictorian in 2013 from Bruce Randolph High School. In 2014, I graduated Community College of Denver with an Associate of Science. Then in 2016, I graduated from the Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Biology. I started teaching Kindergarten in 2017 and in 2022, I got my masters in Educational and Cultural Equity and Bilingual Education. One of the things that I am very proud of is my Mexican background; I came to the U.S. when I was 2 years old and grew up undocumented so I have done a lot of advocacy work for DACA and immigration. My hobbies include reading as much as I possibly can, baking, and drawing.

A quote that I try to live by:

“The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless.” —Jean Jacques Rousseau
