Dear McGlone Parent/Guardian:
Your student will be participating in the ACCESS assessment between January 15 and January 31. English learners take the ACCESS assessment each year to determine their level of English language proficiency and growth in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
Attached is an ACCESS for ELLs Information for Families handout which gives more information about the assessment including its purpose, what scores will be provided and how the scores will be used.
Your student’s performance on this assessment will not affect their grades. However, please encourage your student to take the test seriously and do the best they can. The results of these tests will help our school make determinations regarding planning, instruction and services to best support students.
